Tanya Vannoy is a 3rd-year Ph.D. student. Her research focuses on well-being science, including prosocial behavior and social connections.
Prior to joining the Positive Activities and Wellbeing lab, Tanya worked professionally in marketing and market research for over 15 years. She was the Associate Director of Marketing for the Sundance Institute and Sundance Film Festival, where she oversaw the execution of data-informed marketing strategies, fundraising campaigns, and customer experience research. Before Sundance, Tanya was a senior consultant for various creative and consumer research firms. She led the design, implementation, analysis, and reporting of quantitative and qualitative research studies for companies like Microsoft, Disney, Red Bull, Nike, Apple, and Starbucks.
Tanya is a bilingual English-Spanish speaker. She grew up in Manta, Ecuador and moved to the U.S. to attend college at California State University, Northridge, where she graduated magna cum laude, with an Honors degree in Business and Economics (B.S.).
